Clean Crops, Safe Workers: United for Healthy, Sustainable Supply Chains

Symposium 19 september 2025

How can we protect workers and their communities in the seed, flower, and palm oil industries from the dangers posed by agrochemicals? Mondiaal FNV’s symposium will delve into the risks of agrochemicals in agriculture, explore practical solutions for improving workers’ health and safety, and highlight the vital role trade unions play in advocating for change.

The use of pesticides and other agrochemicals in global agriculture is a pressing issue. Workers, consumers, and communities are increasingly concerned about their health and the impact on biodiversity. Meanwhile, workers on the frontlines – many of whom are women – face significant risks, often with limited protection, training, and medical support.
